Here are certain ground rules I stick to while taking up and doing book reviews.

I usually read and accept book review requests for almost all genres, including fiction, fantasy, thriller, mystery, sci-fi, children’s books, non-fiction, historical fiction, and adult romance. However, I DO NOT review erotica and biographies.

I ONLY accept physical copies for review purposes (ARCs, paperbacks, or hardbacks, no eBooks strictly).

I believe in being honest (read ‘constructive criticism‘) with my reviews but at the same time strictly avoid being harsh because writing a book isn’t definitely a cake-walk and I completely respect the hard work the authors put in their books.

I provide a window period of either 4 weeks (for paid reviews) or 8 weeks (for unpaid reviews) after the receipt of the book post which a mail is sent to the respective author/agent containing links to the review. The book will be rated on a 5 point scale and the same will be mentioned at the end of the review along with whether or not I’d like to recommend it to my audience.
